The 1927 American LaFrance Pumper

In 1927 The Halfway Fire Department welcomed a new addition. This addition was a 1927 American LaFrance Pumper. By this time, fire hydrants were become more common and a fire truck with a pump was needed. Pictured below is that engine. With the addition of the new LaFrance engine, the two fire trucks would go on to serve the community together into the early 1940’s.
